Andre opened Swink in 2011, starting as an outdoor bootcamp to help his family & friends get healthier.  Some of his favorite things in life include Shipleys glaze donuts & Topo Chico, his stress relievers include chores like cleaning, laundry & yard work (weirdo) and he’s never been stung by a bee!  Andre loves pull ups & bar muscle ups but his least favorite movement by far is overhead squats.  His biggest passion in life is helping people become better versions of themselves and he is the absolute KEY to why Swink is the wonderful place it is!  



Betsy joined Swink in 2012 and soon after became pretty devoted, due to Andre’s swooning!  She became a coach in 2013.  Betsy runs a photography business as well, is abnormally obsessed with her two dogs, and has absolutely no sense of smell.  Her favorite movement is snatch and her least favorite is either thrusters or running, depending on the season!  Betsy grew up hating sports and as a young adult hated working out, but found CrossFit and quickly discovered a love for not only honing her skill but teaching others to execute properly & efficiently. 



Trevor has been a member at Swink since 2015 and a coach since 2016.  While he loves to spend as much time as possible coaching & working out, he also is a firefighter for our very own Midlothian Fire Department.  Trev loves a bar muscle up but isn’t too happy when toes-to-bar pop up.  He is the man behind the camera for the Swink Media team videos! Fun fact about Trev, he’s incapable of whistling, so make sure and ask him to try next time you see him!



Greg has been one of our longest standing members, part of the Swink family since 2014 and a coach since 2015.   He is a huge Sooners, Mavs, Stars, Rangers and Falcons fan so you can see how he spends most of his spare time!  He loves to cook all sorts of crazy concoctions and his favorite movement by far is a good ole’ GHD sit up! Greg is passionate about personal training and helping people become the healthiest and fittest versions of themselves.



Michael has been a member at Swink since 2015 after starting CrossFit in 2012, and a coach with us since 2017.  He is a die hard University of Alabama football fan and spent his college career playing baseball.  His most important role though is being a husband and father.  His son is right behind him, training to be an athlete of himself one day!  Michael’s favorite movement is bar muscle ups and his least favorite is thrusters (he speaks for all of us there.)  



Aida has been a member at Swink since she was 16 years old.  She’s a hard worker who loves CrossFit to her bones, and finally became a coach with us in 2019.  She loves pretty much all gymnastics movements and a good heavy squat clean but isn’t a fan of thrusters (who is?!). We are so happy to finally have her on as a coach and can’t wait to watch her grow!  Aida is bilingual, a 12th generation in her family to be born in central Florida, and is currently working on her schooling to become a physical therapist.



Kristen has been a member of Swink since 2018 and coaching 

Since 2019. Her favorite movements are a tie between dumbbell alternating snatches or handstand walking. Kris is originally from Springfield, MO where she graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. She is now pursuing her Masters in Clinical Neurology while obtaining a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. She is extremely passionate about helping others operate at their best both in and outside of the gym. If given the chance to go anywhere in the world she would go scuba diving in the Philippines! 


Courtney Bland

Courtney has been a member of Swink since 2018 and has been coaching since 2020. Her favorite movement is the snatch. Court is originally from Houston, TX. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and went on to get her master’s in Athletic Training from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. She is currently the head women’s Athletic Trainer at DBU and is a professor of Orthopedic Injury. She obtains certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Exercise Specialist, and is a Dry Needling provider. She is very passionate about helping others reach their goals both inside and outside of the gym. Courtney loves people, mountain biking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Julie Barron

Julie has been a Swink Member since 2012. Although she began her health journey in high school, it was at Swink that she developed a true love for fitness and nutrition. She is a veteran bilingual educator and has a passion for teaching kids and adults! In her free time you will find Julie running, biking, kayaking, cooking or reading.
